An applewood smoked cheddar with some crackers and a glass of Conundrum. Yum
Medium Chedder and pepsi
Habanero Jack and a double Cabo
Oh… How naughty of you guys to make me think about my favorite pairings when my tummy was already growling for lunch! Serve me up a glass of Late Harvest Riesling with the Couch Potato burger, featuring smoked, peppered pork and Wisconsin Blue. Hot and sweet–nothin’ better than that!!!
Wine & cheese? My 2 favorite things on the planet! If I HAVE to pick a favorite… Carbernet & smoked gouda
Red wine with sharp cheddar an grannysmith apples on a Triscuit crackers.
I like to dredge chunks of Brie in flour, egg and Panko bread crumbs and deep fry. Serve warm with a raspberry sauce and a glass of White Zinfandel.
I love a nice chilled Riesling with a caeser salad covered in fresh grated Asiago! yummmmm
My favorite pairing has got to be either cheddar or smoked gouda and Malbec.
I get these wonderful little cheese curds from Wisconsin. My friend brings them back every month. And we love to sit around munching on those wonderful little white curds with grapes and pinot.
Smoked Cheddar with garlicy crackers. . . and a Guinness.
(does not make for very nice breath though!)
Reisling paired with aged gouda on herbed crackers. A good garlic sausage is also an option for added flavor. If you’re looking for some spice, use LaGranders hot pepper jack instead of gouda! It’s excellent! If you choose the spicy cheese a good merlot is always an excellent wine choice.
Cabernet Sauvignon with fried camembert – absolutely delicious!
A 4oz glass of J W Morris’s Gewurztiminer from Trader Joe’s sipped while munching on a Cocopop rice cake (6 inch cracker, 16 calories) smeared with a spoonful of my homemade Cherry Jam and Wisconsin Brie; a light and tasty snack!
To be honest, all cheese and all wine are my favorite pairing. I’m not picky.
However, that said, I could go for a glass of sauvignon blanc and some sharp white cheddar right now. Yum.
Blue cheese and syrah makes me quite happy.
Of course its a great Wisconsin white cheddar and some of Wisconsin’s own Leinenkugel Berry Beer for this California gal!
Sharp cheddar and almost anything that I just grilled.
I cube smoked Gouda and garlic sautéed portobello mushrooms and stuff them in a boneless chicken breast. I then wrap this in pie crust and bake it. After it is done I top it with a white wine mushroom sauce. I usually add herbed long grain and wild rice and fresh asparagus to the dinner plate. A crisp, dry, oaky white wine compliments the meal to perfection.
Looks like I know what I am making for dinner.
Not to sound simple or anything, but fried cheese curds and an India pale ale are really great on a hot Summer day. It’s too bad that they don’t sell them here in Virginia.
love sharp cheddar with grapes, apples and TLC 7 grain crackers paired with a pinot gris
we love to pair jack cheese with jalapeno slices on buttery crackers
Edam and brown ale is wonderful.
We love taking wonderful cheeses and deli meats to Ravina…along with some wines, and enjoy an amazing evening with friends and beautiful flavors!!
I would have to say Cheddar paired with either an apple cider or a southern white wine.
Cheddar, apples, and merlot.
June is the perfect month to celebrate cheese! Outdoor music festivals, patio seating at wine bars… I firmly believe that cheese may just be the key to world peace…
Sharp cheddar, Breton crackers and a dry red wine…
But, my favorite pairing is Manchego with a nice Spanish Tempranillo… Reminds me of vacation in Spain, and sitting in parks enjoying the sun and people-watching!
Brick cheese, fresh garden tomatoes, and warm pita bread. Yum.
smoked gouda and crackers, yum!
Reisling with Gouda….mmmmmm
Sharp Cheddar and fresh apples
Champagne and Camembert. My favorite.
Chardonnay and Brie. With french bread, roasted garlic and marinated artichoke hearts…YUM~!
I love rich, crumbly white cheddar in three alarm chili with mexican corn bread, an unusual combo but the strong taste of the cheese stands out.
Sharp cheddar and stout. Excellent pairing.
I love a Late Harvest Reisling and a good Sharp Wisconsin Cheddar…..so delicious. Whole Wheat Crackers are good with this also.
I love brie baked in a puff pastry with Sauvignon Blanc!
There is nothing better than, fresh french bread, brie, grapes, sliced pears and a nice white wine.
A 1- or 2-year aged Vermont white cheddar with a slightly chilled Moscato wine. MMMMM!
I absolutely love Havarti with a beautiful savignon blanc.
However, as a Greek, I think the holy trinity of salty Kasseri, soft pita bread and briny purple-black Kalamata olives is perfect.
Growing up we had jars of black and green olives in the garage that my parents picked and brined themselves. They refused to eat any olives bought from any store.
A Cheese Pairing Haiku
Wine of white pinot
Smokey gouda on French bread
Simple pure delight!
Sharp Cheddar, Crackers and Soda!
I love Havarti on everything crackers or bagels. I even put havarti on ham sandwiches and hamburgers too… mmmm
Favorite cheese and drink pairing: Gruyere and weiss beer
I love extra sharp cheese, crackers, Jewish Pickle and a nice ICE COLD Bud Lime (or Blime, as I like to call it!!!!)
Right now I think I would go for a nice butter kase and a glass of Le Lapin Multiplicity, or if it was really hot and humid out a nice crisp, cool Chardonnay.
Wisconsin Baby Swiss, slices of crisp apples, champagne and a perfect sunset.
